How To Draw Stay Puft Marshmallow Man

Woo hoo! – it'south the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, from of grade… the *legendary* Ghostbusters.

Talk most nostalgia!

This picture show was – and nevertheless very much is… just awesome.

And seeing this guy, making his way through the skyscrapers for the very first fourth dimension – such a unique concept – something that captured and influenced the imagination of then many.

And then yep, it'southward only natural – that now…

We draw him! 🙂

And by the style. Cheers very much to Hailey, for suggesting to make the lessons easier to follow – by making the part y'all just drew, grey (gray), and the part you're going to draw side by side, black.

I've incorporated this thought, into the lesson here. And I really remember it will help.

Also, I've faded the frameworks out even more so – for when it comes fourth dimension to draw your lines.

OK – to the lesson!

How to Draw the Stay Puft Marshmallow Human from Ghostbusters

It's quite articulate from watching the movie, Stay Puft is HUGE!

And when it comes to drawing him, here as a uncomplicated cartoon… nosotros tin certainly pause his structure down, into a series of simple shapes.

Having our character face us straight on…here's how it all begins, two circles – and some dividing lines…

Adjacent upwards, we know he'south got some book to his body – his head, torso, and limbs – looking quite circular in shape, areas bulging out – looking sort of 'bubbly' if you will. 🙂

Then then…

Side by side let'due south map out the beginning of his limbs – nice bright green shapes (for visuals)…

Right on.

And side by side, go ahead and consummate the structure of his limbs. I've got my version of Stay Puft Marshmallow man, standing straight – with his arms upwardly in the air.

How does yours expect?

Is he sitting down? Is he standing on ane leg? Is he jumping on cars!?

Change the shapes accordingly…

OK.

At present with a bright orange, go ahead and map out those last few *distinctive* features – those which of class…

Make 'Stay Puft', Stay Puft.

Hat? Check.

Neckband? Check.

And we're cartoon!

OK.

Kickoff thing and then, let's provide a window to his soul – by of course… bringing into view – the eyes.

And mark off the upper role of his neckband. It's a cardinal feature that must be in place earlier on, equally here – his caput will appear tucked backside it, sort of like this…

Smashing.

Thanks once more Hailey – as this function is where the grey lines come in.

Fading out what nosotros've drawn already to grey, the black lines which follow (later toward the very end of the lesson), prove you what'south adjacent – and nice and clear at that.

Hither'southward the caput, neckband and torso now, taking shape…

Expect a second.

This isn't the "Stay Puft" I remember!?

All he wants to do – is give you lot a dandy big hug.

Oh well. Hugging Stay Puft Marshmallow man, information technology is. 🙂

Hither's his easily, coming into view…

In behind now (see how we're working toward the back – depth taken into account!?) – draw the parts of his artillery, those which connect to his torso.

And give the legs a beginning, every bit well…

So the rest of Stay Puft Marshmallow Man's legs – simple circles (in role) really… are pretty straight forward.

Go for some details now.

Start off the hat, equally follows.

Complete the collar too – with a couple more lines…

Yes, you know what?

We're just most done!

There's his hat, and that little ruby bow-like function, sitting underneath his collar.

He might but look cool with a bow necktie. Give it a shot! 🙂

OK – the lines.

There he is, sharp – complete – black and white…

And colored…

Not bad! Yep, very nice in deed.

Was and then much fun to create!

Call back I'm going to go watch Ghostbusters now, and see the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man once over again, strutting downwards the streets of New York City.

And come to call up of it… nosotros should draw Slimer as well, at some point.
